Pretty good slate of games today, with tons of inner-division action. I think the four plays today have tons of value. No time to mess around because our first play starts in 1 hour, let's jump right in.

Cardinals @ Cubs 11:20 AM PT

Two teams with very different expectations coming into the season. Winning is expected in St. Louis, and that is not happening this year. The rotation just hasn’t been there for the Cards. Because of this, expect the cards to sell at the deadline. A piece I believe will be on the block is RHP Jack Flaherty. He hasn’t been special this season, but a good start today will increase his stock. Love this spot for the Cards.

Cardinals +115

Padres @ Tigers 3:40 PM PT

Like I’ve said before, this Padres lineup is too stacked to still be under .500. They have a great spot today against the lackluster Tigers. Seth Lugo is a good enough arm to give the Padres a quality start, and I think they roll today.

Padres -145

Padres -1.5 +110

Astros @ Athletics 6:40 PM PT

I hate picking on the A’s. The fanbase has been through enough, they are so bad and can’t catch a break. The Stor’s are throwing one of the best arms in baseball in Framber Valdez, and there is too much value here to stay away.

Astros -1.5 -140
