Current Record: 3-1 (75%)
Cheers everyone, happy Friday and welcome back to another edition of MLB
plays. We had a hot start with our picks on Monday, going 3-1. Max Scherzer
absolutely dealt, the Cardinals came back from a 5-run deficit, and the Giants won in
extras. Hopefully, we can ride the good juju into our plays for today.
With a full 15-game slate, there is some great value today for teams who have
been struggling to start heating up. Let’s jump right in.

Mariners @ Orioles 4:05 PM PT
The Mariners have been hovering around 500 all year due to a slumping
offense. The starting pitching has been very strong, but the bats haven’t quite woken
up yet. Reigning rookie of the year, Julio Rodriguez is in the middle of a sophomore
slump, hitting just under .240. J-rod just announced that he will be participating in the
Home-run Derby for a second year in a row. This news, combined with the Mariners
hanging 10 on the Yankees yesterday to avoid being swept, gives me confidence that
Julio will go yard today and the M’s, led by their horse Logan Gilbert will take down
the Orioles today.
Mariners ML (-115)
Brewers @ Guardians 4:10 PM PT
This series is going to be fun to watch due to excellent starting pitching on both
sides. The Guardians have the better guy today, with 2020 Cy Young winner Shane
Bieber on the bump. There isn’t much into this pick; Bieber will out-duel Wade Miley,
and the Guardians will win this one.
Guardians ML (-135)
Nationals @ Padres 6:40 PM PT
I was wrong last week in my prediction of Fernando Tatis’s golden sombrero.
After hammering Tatis under 1.5 total bases, El Niño ripped a leadoff double to
temporarily silence Oracle Park. The Padres have been struggling, but their offense is
too loaded to remain under 500 for much longer. Tatis, Soto, Machado, Bogarts 1,2,3,4
really doesn’t seem real. San Diego is also throwing their stud today in Joe Musgrove.
Musgrove has had a sub-4 ERA over the past three seasons, and with a 4.22 ERA right
now, I believe he will get back on track today against the abysmal Nats. Although the
odds aren’t great, there is too much value here to stay away.
Padres -1.5 (-141)
Diamondbacks @ Giants 7:15 PM PT
After winning 10 in a row, the Giants finally gave one back yesterday against the
Padres. As Kruk and Kuip said best, it is hard to beat a good team three times; it is
really hard to beat a good team four times. Who better to have on the bump for the G-
men in hopes of getting back on track than Logan Webb? Webb has been nothing
short of an ace for the Giants, with a 3.11 ERA and logging the most innings in the
league (after today). The D-backs have been outstanding this year, led by Seattle
phenom Corbin Carroll. But today will be an absolute welcome to the big leagues
moment for the kid. He will not be a part of the 3 Diamondback hits today as the G-
men will continue to roll on a Friday night in the Bay.
Giants -1.5 (+115)
Giants ML (-171)
Logan Webb over 5.5 SO’s (+102)
